Be Grateful This Season

It’s that time of year again.

Snowflakes are falling, Jingle Bells is on every radio station, and houses are lit-up like bright stars. Christmas is in full gear.

We all get asked what it is we want for Christmas. The undeniable infatuation of giving and receiving gifts has both kids and adults drooling with excitement. We all know the feeling.

I have spent some time thinking about this. Do I really NEED anything for Christmas? What gift would truly make me happy?

I have found the answer to my questions. Please read.

I unfortunately don't know the source. It was sent to me by a friend.

You see, I already have everything I need. I feelĀ incredibly blessed to be in the situation I am in. I am blessed with good health, food on the table, a place to call home and loving family and friends to share good times with.

For this I am truly grateful.

We are more fortunate than we think. We take things for granted because we don’t know any better. We think that more money and new toys will make us happy, but this is an endless cycle that robs us of our positive energy.

Read the message above again.

Understand that you are more fortunate than the majority of the people on this planet. Learn to cherish what you have and to appreciate the little things that we often tend to overlook. You will benefit from thisĀ immensely.

Be grateful this season and take a second to think about those less fortunate.

Please share this post with your friends and family. Help me spread the POWER of this message.

Have a merry Christmas.

  1. Srdjan,
This is a great message for any time of year. I have heard people complain about their own circumstances even though there are so many less fortunate.

Imagine you were in a random group of 10 people and each person had to write down their worst problem on a piece of paper and drop it on the ground. You are now able (hypothetically) to trade your problem with another member of your group; chances are you would scramble to pick up your own problem.

There are always those less fortunate than us. Be Greatful. Thanks Srjdan

We take a lot of things for granted in our lives and we always think the grass is greener on the other side. The truth is we really don’t understand how blessed we are to be in the position we are in. It’s always important to keep in mind that there are many people out there who would kill to be in your shoes.

That is an interesting hypothetical situation. You never know the problems other people are facing. I guess it’s better to go with your own problems.

    Thanks for the comment!
