Welcome to the bloomer bucket list.
Life really is beautiful.
I mean there are so many extraordinary things in this world to do, to see and to experience. Beautiful cities to explore, exotic beaches to sink your feet in, extravagant architecture to gaze at, adrenaline-rushing activities to get your heart racing…
The list is endless and it is yours to make.
Remember what being a fitness bloomer is all about – it is about making a change and getting fit so that you can enjoy all the beautiful things this world has to offer.
This is my bloomer bucket list. These are my personal goals, dreams and aspirations. These are things I want to accomplish so when I’m 100 years old (damn right) and sitting on the front porch sipping on my goji berry tea, I can relax, reminisce and tell myself that ‘yea, I did it – I lived my life’.

If you have any suggestions of places to see, things to do or people to meet, share them in the comments below. I promise to consider them all. Remember, I love trying new things!
Remember that we are fitness bloomers. We are in this together.
I encourage you to share your bloomer bucket list in the comments below. Share the things you want to achieve. Share the places you want to visit and the things you want to do.
Share the reasons you want to get fit.

I hope you will consider adding hiking the Grand Canyon to your bucket list. I moved to Arizona this year and I’m working to get fit so I can hike to the bottom and back up in one day. I’m almost 60 but I’m not letting that stop me!
That’s an awesome goal Jean! Hiking to the bottom and back sounds intense – I didn’t even know that was possible (I thought you just look down at it
). I’m going to do some research and see if I can do something similar in the near future. Good luck and please tell me all about your experience when you do it. Thanks for sharing!
I hiked the Grand Canyon last year.
Not to the bottom and back up though. I just did couple of miles down to the first water station and then back up.
To get to the bottom, it is advisable to camp over night at the bottom, although I met a guy on the way who did the whole trip in one day. He said he started 5am and when I met him it was already afternoon.
So this is going to take you close about 10 hours of non stop walking. Plus if you do it in the summer be prepared for a scorching heat of constant 100 F degrees, and direct sunlight.
You really have to be prepared for it.
Man that sounds crazy. I’d love to be able to do it all in one day – sounds like quite the challenge. Thanks for sharing Bob!
Ya it is.
I can’t remember the exact number but they have to rescue somebody every year because people don’t get prepared for this kind of trip and get exhausted, overheated and dehydrated.
Camelpacks are the way to go to stay hydrated for this type of a trip.
Cheers,
That’s pretty intense. I absolutely love my camelpack and use it all the time. Thanks for the tips Bob. I appreciate it!
