i bought a weighted rope, ufc brand. i was wondering if its okay to use it on stone or concrete. i used it on our patio and it got a little scuffed and scratched a bit. will it last long if i continue to use it like that? i made a mat out of some cardboard and tarp but its a huge pain to use it. its also one hell of a work out :P i could only go for five minutes before i couldnt breathe anymore (smoker and 270lbs) but it felt great once i stopped coughing :P

I've been meaning to start skipping but I had absolutely no money until about a week ago. I'm actually in the middle of making my own jump rope although I will probably go buy one as well. I'm starting at around 275 pounds. My goal is 200-220 and the stationary bike just isn't cutting it.

Thanks.

I'll be providing more posts in the very near future outlining how to target specific areas with specific tools so stay tuned!

The back is usually the one that needs the most work (not always) so it needs the most attention. I'll be showing you how I use foam rollers and lacrosse balls to target those pain areas.

Count me in as someone who needs to give their soft tissue some love. Because of how much time I spend writing at a computer everyday, my back is starting to get sore in a few spots. What I really need to do is convert to a standing desk, but that's a long-term solution.

Because of how difficult the back is to self-reach, what can I do to give the soft tissue on my back some lovin'?

I got a pair of VFF last summer, and it's just about all I wear now. When the weather is a bit chillier outside I put on a pair of Tom's instead, but for nicer weather, VFF are the only way to go!

Hey Robert, it's definitely an interesting thought. I'm sure the strength gains would plateau after a certain time on the program at which point I would make some changes to my strategy. I was fortunate to have some impressive gains in the 5 weeks that I did this program. Next time I do it I'll try to go for longer just to see what happens.
